About Mountain Tattoos
Mountain Tattoo has only been open for three years, but there are nearly four decades of tattooing experience behind the chairs.
Owner Dan spent more than 15 years tattooing throughout Westchester and the Bronx before opening the shop in Mahopac. Anthony has been tattooing locally for just as long, building relationships with clients who have been coming back for years. Charlie made the move from the UK and brought a style of blackwork that's now attracting attention far beyond the Hudson Valley. Jessica trained under Dan and has quickly developed into an artist whose portfolio continues to evolve with every piece she takes on.

Dan specializes in black and gray realism, creating pieces packed with texture, depth, and detail. Charlie's bold blackwork stands out immediately. Anthony and Jessica bring a versatile approach that allows them to move comfortably between styles while still creating work that feels personal to the client sitting in the chair.

The shop is relaxed, friendly, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Conversations happen naturally. Ideas get refined. Designs take shape. Hours pass while artists focus on creating something that will still matter years from now.
Every tattoo starts with a conversation. Some people arrive with a complete vision. Others bring a few reference photos and a rough idea. Either way, the process is collaborative from the beginning. The goal isn't to rush someone into a tattoo. It's to create something they're excited to wear for the rest of their life.
Appointments are preferred, though walk-ins are welcomed when availability allows.
